Hoi An

Has been an international shipping port for centuries
Hoi An is Nick's favorite place to visit.

During the 2nd through 20th centuries, the Cham civilization built numerous towers in the area, many of which still stand.

More recently, Dutch, British, French, Italian, Portuguese, Thai, Indonesian, Persian, Chinese, and Japanese sailors have brought silk, spices, and even ships up the mouth of the Bon River to trade in Hoi An. Many 200-year-old wooden buildings and wharfs give this port town a rustic flavor.

HoiAn would be an excellent addition to a Hue vacation. Nearby China Beach has long been a favorite vacation stop and still is today.
