Hue

Combines ancient history, modern history, and natural beauty
Hue is Vietnam's third largest city.

Hue (pronounced "Hwey"), nestled on the beautiful Perfume River near the coast in central Vietnam, has many historic and cultural treasures. It was the imperial capital during the Nguyen Dynasty, known for excellent architecture and historic tombs. The Citadel, Forbidden Purple City, and many pagodas, towers, and tombs still stand.

Ho Chi Minh was born in Hue, and the Ho Chi Minh Museum is located here. Besides seeing the historic sites, everyone will enjoy a quiet boat ride on the peaceful Perfume River.

Since Hue is Vietnam's third largest city, it can be reached by road, rail, or air from either Hanoi or Saigon, and can easily be included in either a short vacation or an all-inclusive tour.
